Welcome to Me, Myself and IVF Blog

I’m Louise, writing from Australia.

As a single woman navigating IVF with a donor, and now pregnancy, this blog is where I share parts of that experience as it unfolds.

When I first started considering IVF, I wanted to understand each step clearly and hear from people who had actually lived it. At the time, I didn’t personally know anyone who had been through IVF, either as part of a couple or on their own. Reading others’ stories and listening to podcasts helped me feel less isolated.

This blog exists to offer that same sense of connection.

Journalling began early on, as I moved through IVF. It became a way to slow things down and work through decisions as they came up — both practical and personal. Over time, it became something I relied on, and I began sharing parts of that here — not as a guidebook, but as a real account of what this path can look like.

You’ll find posts that cover both the practical and reflective sides of IVF and pregnancy — from specialist appointments and donor selection to funding options, treatment stages, and pregnancy.
It also includes the thinking, the waiting, and the questions that come up along the way.

IVF doesn’t always move in a straight line. There are moments of progress, pauses, and repetition, and along the way it often brings up thoughts that extend beyond treatment itself. This space exists to explore those moments as they unfold.

Alongside writing here, I developed the Me, Myself & IVF Journal — something that came directly from this process.

It’s designed as a place to work through decisions, organise your thoughts, and move through IVF with more clarity.

I’m glad you’re here. I hope sharing my experience is helpful for anyone considering or moving through IVF or pregnancy.

With love,
Louise 🌸❤️
