Welcome to Me, Myself and IVF Blog
Hello and welcome! I’m Louise, living in NSW, Australia. I’ve chosen to go through IVF using a donor, and this space is where I share parts of that experience.
I began exploring IVF after a lot of reflection and decided to document the process through journaling. Sharing some of that story here felt like a natural step. You’ll find posts about both the practical and emotional sides of IVF — from specialist appointments and funding options like accessing superannuation, to donor selection, egg collection, and embryo transfer.
When I first started considering IVF, I wanted to understand every step and connect with others in similar situations. At the time, I didn’t personally know anyone who had gone through IVF, either as part of a couple or on their own. Reading others’ stories and listening to podcasts helped me feel less alone, and I hope that by sharing my own experiences, I can offer that same sense of connection and reassurance.
IVF is a deeply personal process — full of hope, uncertainty, and moments of growth. After completing one step, there’s always another ahead (and sometimes you circle back to repeat one). My goal is to share openly and supportively, because these conversations matter.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog and find something here that brings comfort, insight, or encouragement.
With love,
Louise 🌸❤️
